Friend

I cannot ease your aching heart,

Nor take your pain away,

But let me stay and take your hand

And walk with you today!

I'll listen when you need to talk;

I'll wipe away your tears

I'll share your worries when they come;

I'll help you face your fears.

I'm here and I will stand by you,

Each hill you have to climb,

So take my hand, let's face the world;

Live one day at a time!

You're not alone, for I'm still here.

I'll go that extra mile,

And when your grief is easier,

To chase away the sadness,
And wipe away a tear.

I have a warm and friendly feeling
As I think of you today;
And I wish that we could visit,
But you're many miles away.

Separated by such distance,
Yet our emails bring us near;
Through the miles we share a friendship
That's become to me most dear.

Friends through correspondence;
Still, your face I need not see
For your soul shines through the words
Every time you write to me.

You have a special way of writing,
Warming as the sunshine rays,
Bringing joy and inspiration,
Brightening up my days.

You have enriched my life, my dear one,
And I'm glad God willed we meet,
"Friendship's Road" is that much nicer

 

Traveling it with one so sweet. 

 

 Friends are like roses, some old some new.

They help us in the worst of times by pulling us through.
We may not always agree, but I know in you I can confide.
Through thick and thin you are always by my side.
   

Show your friends how much they mean to you.
Send them this poem even if your friends are new.
Because sometimes we need a lift and our friends do too.
Send them this so they stop feeling blue.

But lots of love, it can bring.

Things to share and talk about
It's something you just can't do without.

 

All your life, friendship lasts
Through the years, you'll look back.

Remembering the laughs and happy times along with the cries and sorry sighs.

 

 


Friendship can never come apart
Especially when it's straight from the heart.

Friendships don't die, they continue to grow. So be sure to cherish the friendships you know.
